We don't mess around here in the land of the Northern Reindeer, Moose Milk and the far less known Maple syrup:

East side of Lake Superior is just one big lake effect snow globe.

No just add Canadian whisky and maple syrup, all natural, it's the Canadian whey.

Getting fresh moose milk is always a challenge too. Old trick is they love chocolate. You can pretty much fill a nalgene in a minute or so.

There is a small local herd of Norwegian Reindeer that browse on sugar maple saplings in the area, hence the openness of some of the terrain. This is not public yet, as we still don't have a permit in hand but here you go:

Not this ski, it's pair had the tip broken off due to snow falling off a roof. A respectable and honourable retirement mehinks.

I stole most of these pics from people at Twigfest on Saturday, super cold, challenging event out in the hills, and except for one total pill, an amazing group of 25 people...SBR and Tele Dave helped out hugely, as usual, they should have more pics, I was busy keeping the stoves running.

Time to make up some "Free Moira" bumber stickers. ;)

I still get bit confused when you Americans talk Fahrenheit. All good as I was taught all that in science class. I do know that at -40 it's the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit. Been out working in that kind of cold and it's "layer city" as you might imagine.
