He did have a lower discounted price the day I was there with you. It's interesting they say you can't have fast, good, and cheap. But he really did provide all three. And such a nice guy, too.

My son and I had Belleayre to ourselves today for our annual post-closing tour. Still plenty of snow for some warm-weather fun.

Ha! Don't let the name fool you. I do my share of flailing on steep bumps. And, actually, my need for space to ski creative lines is probably less due to a wish to make whimsical choices and more to do with getting bucked out of the line I wanted and being forced to find a new one.

It's not my favorite option to ski bumps that are only along the edge of a trail. Less choices for creative lines. I still enjoy skiing Plunge though. The side of Block I find just to be okay. I think sometimes there's kind of a second fall line thing going on where it's sloping toward the side...

It's definitely possible to have more bumps at Plattekill. Yes, they need a healthy amount of snow, which they got last month. I'm not sure if Laszlo is moving away from bumps or if it's never been something he's prioritized. In the fifteen years or so that I've been skiing there, I don't recall...

Maybe just on the flat area near the Overlook lodge? That can get thin sometimes. But definitely not full guns blazing like Plattekill.

Bumps at Belle were fun yesterday.

I got there at 2:30 for some late afternoon turns today. The top third or maybe half was edgeable but still firm on the trails I skied. Was only 42 degrees at the Tomahawk parking lot. Warmer temps tomorrow should improve things.

Wednesday's looking perfect. Will be there with my daughter, but when she calls it quits, maybe I can join up with you, Harvey, in the afternoon.

For anyone who has swapped a ticket date, did the process go smoothly? Called and left a message yesterday a little around 4:30 PM to switch from Wednesday to Friday. Still waiting for an email confirmation.

Are there intermediate bumps anywhere on the mountain these days? Would love to get my kids in the moguls but am not seeing anything this year. That used to be Belleayre's specialty.
