Conditions today were pretty good! I think the clouds kept the snow from getting too slow. And all the trails with snow making seemed to still have decent coverage with only an occasional bare spot.

Is there any chance Hoyt's High will still be open in mid-March? I know it is up to mother nature, but I guess my question is about the depth of the base. I've never had luck with this trail on my previous mid-March visits. But snowmaking seems to be different this year. What do you guys think?

I am not an every day skier. But in my experience, outside of holidays and busy weekends when Gore handles crowds better than Whiteface, Whiteface feels less crowded. The last time I was at Whiteface on a weekday, I felt like there was only ~100 people on the whole mountain.
