I'm an intermediate skier and went to Belleayre yesterday. It was definitely a bit of a rude awakening as I felt pretty clumsy skiing soft snow which was pretty bumpy (you know, not mogul bumps, just sort of ungroomed feeling). My legs seemed to tire very quickly. All in all I had a great...

Our doctors wrote us prescriptions for Doxy to keep on hand. We are on five acres in the woods. Protocol is....if you find a tick latched on, take two Doxy's and monitor for illness. Hopefully to nip it in the bud. SPP

Accuweather still says 8-12" for Belleayre, although looks like it is currently raining there. I am super hopeful I can get my first day of the season over there tomorrow. SPP

I usually put all my clothes in the dryer on high heat for at least 10-15 minutes after I do anything outside, like yard work, etc. Then, straight into the shower. Running soapy hands all over yourself is a good way to feel them or knock them off your skin if they are not yet latched on...

I've done some riding on Indian Brook, Sunken Mine, Old Albany Post Road, etc. back when I lived in Northern Westchester. Great dirt roads and plenty of climbing. Thanks for bringing back some fine memories. SPP
