Gore Mountain, North Creek, NY....April 5, 2024.
17" at the summit, day 11 for me (not too bad, first ski day was mid-February!)
To think I had found the place where my ski equipment would rest until next season, only to get it all out again!
Conditions were full on winter fantastic!
April...
Solo trip up to Gore again on Wednesday.
Day ten for the season!
Rain, heavy fog, sunshine ... it all happened yesterday.
When I met up with Aaron and Dave (both ski instructors at Gore, Aaron being a friend's nephew)) and I took a few runs together.
It was so foggy on our first run down...
So...Catamount was pretty dang good on Sunday, as we had an ice storm Saturday afternoon and through the night.
Groomers must have been busy!
Gore was very good on Monday, still hoping to get back up there again on Wednesday.

I skied Gore on Monday...didnt get there until after 11, great conditions started to deteriorate in the afternoon as expected with the warm up. Still had a great time.
Hoping to get up there again on Wednesday but looks like it might be rainy.

Well, Cat was a bust on Saturday morning....sat in the parking lot for five minutes before deciding to bag it.
Good thing I am only 15 minutes away.
Poured rain most of the day at about 32 degrees, I know they closed down at 1:00.
Later in the day, more icing and a changeover as temps...
Gore Mountain was fantastic!
Went on Monday with my buddy Martyn, who managed to get us there and home in record time, thanks to 90+ mph in a little shit box of a Subaru.
incredible conditions, a bit windy (60mph gusts!).
My first time skiing was at Gore, nearly fifty years ago, as a Boy...
