Yessiree that’s the rink/ wallow. James had to leave early, I took the pic. I spent 15 hours w the Lanes that day, culminating with dinner at the Diner by Cortina and a view of Hunter. The Lanes, Russ, Njskibabe, myself. Never forget it.

That saga and Jame’s writings inspired this 2015 hike with Dr Ben Lane at Bearpen, most intriguing true story.

Just spotted this, Pictured Rocks imho is the best natural feature. Should not be missed. Mackinac island retro cool but t trap.Soo locks. Tahquamenon falls. Drummond Island Western UP long drive, lighthouse's, mining, small waterfalls, pasties. Hug the lakes
