The racers that were at Gore this week were members of PARA (Pennsylvania Area Racing Association) and they were conducting a Super G speed camp. The bibs the kids wear were originally provided by Sports Page and Inside Edge, which are the 2 ski shops in Glens Falls. Most other races are NYSEF...

Unfortunately, as many current or past orda employees will say, they loved their job, but the benefits weren't there. ORDA spends ungodly amount of money each year on infrastructure, with very little oversight, so why can't they spend some of that on the people that make those infrastructures...

The upper mountain had 3-4" of new snow today, and the rain/snow level was approximately the top of the Sunway chair on the lower mountain, and the last drop on Tannery on the upper mountain (very firm hardpack groom from those points down). The upper mountain glades skied really well! Tahawus...

You obviously didn't ski Tahawus Glades ;) 🤷‍♂️

I was not witness to this but supposedly Bruce (formerly of Belle and now the new VP of orda ski area ops) had lunch with Area 1 and it looked pretty tense...It should be!!! You know Bruce! The guy that was brought to WF. under pressure from LPs local last year. 🤷‍♂️

Gore's snowmaking system is state of the art and unlimited in their water supply with it's enlargered reservoir and The Hudson River supply. This is just mis-management on orda and gore. gore mgmt knew they were losing the brains of the mountain ops last season and no effort was made to replace...

The snowmakers were given the weekend off. The crew has been working hard, but they are shorthanded and inexperienced. I very much appreciate their efforts, but the 5 P's were not heeded by the uppers to help them succeed... 🤷‍♂️

Just to point another obvious fail of the 5 P's (proper planning prevents poor peformance), you would think that if they are going to boast about the interconnect being open it would inlcude pipeline. But in the usual "we're not happy unless your not" fashion, pipeline is closed, echo is closed...

Yes but it is very limited this year. Typical Gore move to not think about the loss of parking due to the new lodge and its penitentiary look. They'll send down the parking missionaries and all will be well 🤫 🫢 🫣 :unsure:🤷‍♂️;)
