New mono in an old bucket! Merry Christmas

Got my upgrade for the season. What a difference.

Did 1 run on mono yesterday at Platty. Fell 3 times. Put skis back on. Need to practice more at home hill.

Basically very similar. Weird at first. After a couple of hours you start to get comfortable. I’ve been on it all month 4-5 days a week. Working up my skills to bring by you on a Friday.

Yes they are. The bindings came with the ski. The boots fit in nicely. From what I’ve gathered metal binding parts are a must with monos. The ski is probably from the 90s so the 747s were big then. It’s a fun distraction.

Found one in France. Took awhile to get. I really like it. Makes my smallish hill interesting again. Next season I hope to be ready for a trip elsewhere with it.

I am pretty sure this said 12” last night. Probably a skier weatherman hoping for the best. we will head to Elk , if the miracle doesn’t happen. Its only an hour away. cheers

Hey Brownski, quick ? what are the odds for a powder daze Monday? Got a friend taking Monday off and he’s never been there.

I live about a mile from a small hill ( Big Bear), and I get a little bored from time to time. I remember a guy who used to mono in the eighties at Hunter. It looked real cool , and why not try something new. I was tele curious from spending time at Platty , so I now sorta tele.

Any body have or know someone with a mono ski willing to sell. Wanna try a new adventure.

High elbow bumps or knee bumps or whatever is socially acceptable these days for the Platty crew. Finally was able to get ticks for today and it was definitely worth the wait. All the trails were in great shape. The woods are also in great shape with still pretty deep stuff waiting for you...
