Yeah, they opened the NW Base last weekend but Bannister is still the only way across right now, waiting on Mach (gotta be soon). Midway is up and running under the Apex chair, still waiting on AOA.

Layered up and spent most of the day out there while the boy did his thing. West Express triple was down until after 10:00 due to what looked like a gate issue at the base, but once it was good it was consistent with minimal stops. Best part of the weekend so far is the dropping of ropes...

It looks as though West has dropped the ropes on Meadows and Frolic today to give another route down the mountain. Hopefully this eases up crowding a bit… maybe we’ll get some more connecting trails this weekend.

Aggressive snowmaking in process at West, but no new trails have been opened so far. Saw the groomer working on the Meadows tonight, so hopefully that and Frolic open sooner rather than later. I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen before the weekend. Nice write up from your trip up, Brownski!

Hope it was decent. I seem to recall it was pretty bumpy in the turns on the upper half of the mountain that night when I was there with the kids.

Yes. West opened 12/24 and stuck with 7 trails, or basically two ways down the mountain with some variation mixed in. With the guns at full blast, I could see them opening multiple new trails by tomorrow or Wednesday, and can confirm either way when I go tomorrow night.
