Best day, ever of 2021 at Nickle Peak. Given the extremely warm temperatures so far this season, it was an not unexpected surprise to find a 2’ base with 6” of somewhat fresh and very dry pow on top. I met a few new faces, and reacquainted with some old ones. FKNA.

Day 3 for me, 4 for Bonnie. It’s only golf course meadowskipping, but I like it. Low tide, thin cover, call it what you will, but it’s all good if you’re on skis, even skinny ones.

Bonnies first tracks on the golf course.. we have about 8-10” of snow on the ground. A good start, but certainly limits skiing to safe places with a fast grass base for the time being. I’m heading out tonight after work. Headlamp skiing changes perspective enough to make even the mundane kind...

Nope. SBR’s place is out in the Hinterlands.. I’ve apparently got the gumption of a dormant gopher - at least until there’s enough snow to warrant the 15 minute drive to his place from town..
