    Ski Tracking Apps and Stats

While you're looking you could try We Ski and snowboard. This is what I've been using for years and It's excellent, uses little battery and free features are quite good. Premium is $30 per year and gives more data and better maps. You can also import your old data from ski tracks.

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

This is what I found .... "As of January 2026, Tesla's full-year 2025 results are being finalized. Cumulative net income for the first three quarters of 2025 was approximately $2.95 Billion, a 37% decline compared to the same period in 2024."

That is one heck of a car.

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

I love my LG but would agree the ice maker is the weakest part. We don't use much ice so it's not a factor.

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

I haven't liked Musk since 2018 when he called a cave rescuer a "pedo guy." That's when I knew the guy had serious mental issues. He also claims to be a "free speech absolutist" yet banned the guy on Twitter that reported the tracking info for peoples private jets including Musk's--- So much...

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

Yeah from what I could find the energy density of solid-state is expected to >2x. That weight reduction would reduce tire wear.

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

Yeah that was my question also. Nope not even brakes. I really think electric motors are going to be the way once solid state batteries become the norm. So I also think GM and Ford made a mistake thinking large EV's would be in high demand this soon. Both companies are big ships that can't move...

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

If reliably built I don't think those EVs require much maintenance, do they? A buddy has had one of the original Ford Lightings and he loves it. We'll over 100K miles and has only needed tires and nothing else. Meanwhile the Chinese company BYD is now the global leader for electric vehicle...

    Bristol Conditions

Bristol looks awesome today with the sun out and mild temps! I'm surprised more didn't play hooky from work-- the cams look pretty empty. Also wonder what's wrong the Comet Express (left) as they are running Rocket Triple (right) instead? I hope Johnny is there today on this stellar looking day!

    Bristol Conditions

Thanks for the ongoing updates Johnny. Hopefully the rain doesn't over perform. Right now the rain amounts don't look too bad. Unfortunately we won't see snow making temps for about 8 days so hopefully what they have open will hold.

    NY Snowmobile Conditions

Where is that? Looks like a place with great vibe.

    Bristol Conditions

Agreed -- In my opinion Polaris, Upr/Lwr Northstar is by far the best run on the mountain. Yes I'm sure lower universe takes way less snow to open. My gripe is that it's usually icy and that last steep section spits out traffic into a converging area. I've noticed it seems to be a bit of a...

    Today's Ride

Interesting set up. I saw some fatties at Steamboat with this setup.

    Bristol Conditions

Nice to see Bristol now has 74% terrain open. Not pleased about no snowmaking on lower Northstar yet while they are on Lower Universe. Lower universe is such a turd of a run for numerous reasons. Would prefer they put that snow on lower Northstar instead. UPDATE: I'm told they are blowing...

Still no skiing for me (by choice) so I just keep riding. That's Lake Ontario

    Bristol Conditions

Thanks for confirming. I'll hold off until Meteor and Galaxy are open at least. On pricing, yeah so far Bristol has managed to set pricing closer to GP and HV, but hitting the $100 mark is a big mental threshold for consumers in my opinion. I saw the reaction of family that used to ski...

    Bristol Conditions

Good to know. While I'd like to say I'll hold out till Northstar is open I might not get there till late February if at all. On another note I wonder how many people are actually paying day of window ticket price of $100+? When I informed a few inquiring skiing friends and family about the...

    Black Mtn in NH Closing?

Thanks for sharing. Erik Mogensen was my favorite interview by Stuart at the Storm podcast yet. The guy gets it!
