ORDA Board Meetings

I was a little surprised that the bordercross event that was so dissapointing last year is still on the calendar for January 2021.
I also wasn't aware that they have so many capital projects going. I knew about the 3 lift replacements but there are also water supply upgrades at both WF and Gore, and several lodge improvements. What's the over/under on the number of projects not ready for opening day this year? I'm thinking 2.

So on November 20 when most of us expect the mountains would be open, the only report on the High Peaks replacement was that it was “coming along nicely “. WTF?

In other news, all 3 lifts weren’t ready for the expected opening day. So I lost my over/under bet.

If I provided status reports this way to my stakeholders, e.g. not explicitly citing any sales numbers, % in/decreases, not identifying whether capital projects are ahead or behind schedule, my stakeholders would kick my ass. I'm just not sure whether that would be before or after I was fired. But maybe these meetings are more of a formality for ORDA.

Here’s the Jan 22nd meeting video.
Sound is a tad off. Lot’s of interesting info.
The ladies on the board ask and offer more comments, just sayin.
C’mon man.

They approved funds for modernization to 2 lifts at whiteface. Facelift chair & Cloudsplitter gondola. It’s at 37 min. mark.

Resolution 402, Modernization of components of Face Lift and Gondola. Sounds like there is still work that needs to be done that wasn’t covered under the recent improvements to those lifts? That, or shell game? Anyone know where the Resolutions can be found? Must be part of the public record, and might clarify what components they are talking about.

JTG, Streamed the video to the big screen. Beats watching the news. There was some talk of becoming more transparent due to lots of FOI requests and having info accessible. Pratt seems like a good guy. Lots on his plate. Graphs were interesting. They will put out meeting minutes but have yet to see em for the most recent.
