Ski Tracking Apps and Stats

Does anybody here use a tracking app when they ski?
I've used Slopes and Ski Tracks (lite), everyone swears by Slopes by I find the speed the to be off by a decent amount (we tested it on the access road one day) and it told me I did 2500 vert on one lap of Foxlair to Wild Air.

I started using We Ski simply because I was curious. Vertical, distance, and speed all seem to be very consistent over multiple days at same places (8-10 days each @ Catamount Belleayre & Gore) so the accuracy seems to be very good.

Two years ago, I started using Slopes. There's a free version and a premium version. I liked it so much that I pony'd up for the annual $24.99 premium version.

Will say this, the Apple version of the app is much better than the Android version though I think they're working on fixing that gap.

I use slopes on Android and generally I like it a lot but its definitely inferior to the apple version which is sad. I got free premium this season because of issues last year so I can't complain. I'm curious how accurate the speed really is

Hope it's ok to wake up an old thread. I'm in the process of switching tracking apps since the Ski Tracks app I've been using for over 10 years suddenly required a $4.99/wk (!) subscription. I've exported my ski data and I think I'll import it into Slopes. They look to be doing a free year of premium for those who are dumping Ski Tracks like I am.

While you're looking you could try We Ski and snowboard. This is what I've been using for years and It's excellent, uses little battery and free features are quite good. Premium is $30 per year and gives more data and better maps.
You can also import your old data from ski tracks.

since the thread is alive ... its now 3 years later and I'm still a happy Slopes user. Premium version runs $24.99/year. I have 5 years of ski data in it which is cool. Apple version is still better than the Android version.

Garmin Fenix 7 Pro.
I use a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro in addition to using "We Ski and Snowboard" app on my Pixel. The Garmin obviously provides superior heath and exercise stats, but the mapping and run by run detail of the Garmin isn't enough if you like maps and run data like I do.

Specifically I get more detailed data with run by run analysis. Such as; the lift name for each ride up, the distance of the lift, vert gained on lift and time spent on each lift. A very detailed run by run analysis with run names on the maps. Another thing that's really nice with We Ski is you also get crowd sourced lift wait times. Also if you have friends on the mountain using We Ski you can see where they are which comes in handy. The app also sips battery on my Pixel 7 Pro--- I can ski for 6+ hours with music on bluetooth in my helmet and still have plenty of battery left.

I'm using the base free version and the map detail is plenty good for me. I'll probably subscribe again simply to support the Developer who's been very responsive and continuously improving the app.
